Only accredited participants, including delegations of the Parties, Heads of State, authorized observers, and accredited press, will have access to the Blue Zone.

In the Green Zone, there will be conferences, panels, workshops, environmental project exhibitions, artistic performances, and networking opportunities. The events in the Green Zone will be organized by registered entities, and the official schedule, including details about agendas and registrations, will be announced soon. The political-academic agenda will address topics such as youth environmentalists, environmental justice and human rights, climate change, health and nutrition, among others.

The Blue Zone is expected to host 12,000 participants, including 12 Heads of State, 103 Ministers of Environment, and the UN Secretary-General António Guterres. All official sessions, meetings, side events, and press conferences of COP16 will take place in this area. The event will be held from October 21 to 31, and topics such as the Biodiversity Action Plan through 2030, maritime area management, Amazon management, and biodiversity investments, among others, will be addressed.
