The announcement of Colombia as host of the next COP of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) opens an important range of opportunities for Colombia. Hosting a COP is a milestone for Colombia's international relations, as well as an opportunity to make visible the country's achievements in biodiversity conservation, and to strengthen its leadership in the global biodiversity and sustainable development agenda.

The creative team of the Ministry of Environment was inspired by the Mavecure Hills, in Guainía, and found in the flower of Inírida the best example to send a message of union to the world and represent the richness of our country.
